Dear VNUG member and friend,
It is sad to announce that we at the VNUG Board are forced to cancel this year's VNUG Conference. The reason to it is there are too few members who have signed up.
However, there have been considerable interest from partners who have signed up, but with too few members participating; we cannot justify arranging the VNUG Conference this year.
What causes this is something we need to analyze and learn from. We know there are many who feel that the Conference in September suits better.
From the board, we see 2012 as a year off (with grief of mind) and focus for a new Conference Autumn 2013. After 10 years of excellent feedback we know there is a big interest of a Nordic Conference, so be aware that we will be back.
Our Golf champion Ove Lövgren will hold the trophy for an extra year.
We promote the Conferences in Las Vegas and Dresden.

Invitation to VNUG Nordic User Conference
28 - 30 May, 2012
Dear VNUG members and colleagues!
The time has come for the annual and 11th VNUG conference. Invitation to this year’s conference is sent to our members and colleagues in Sweden, Finland, Norway and Denmark. Please take advantage of this rare opportunity to meet many Nordic NonStop colleagues, HP staff and partners, all together in the same location.
The agenda still has available slots for users to present, share your story to the other participants. Any contribution is welcome and the presentation can be from 10 minutes up to 1 hour. Contact Bo Jonsson, email: bjonsson@csc.com or phone: +46 768 860 093 to discuss the details.
The conference venue this year is Friiberghs Manor. Education and golf competition will take place May 28. The venue is located 30 minutes from Stockholm city and Arlanda airport. The location and facilities is excellent and set in a natural and beautiful environment. Should you need help with taxi please contact the Manor that will help you with fixed taxi prices.
The conference is two days, May 29-30, giving you lots of time to share experiences with colleagues and vendors. For details of the program during the conference, see the attached agenda.
The discounted cost for participation in the conference for VNUG members within the greater Stockholm area (inside a 150 km radius) is 2.300 SEK, members outside the Stockholm area will be given an extra discount of 300 SEK to sponsor travel costs to the conference. The fee includes conference fee, accommodation in a single bed room, and all meals. This fee is discounted from the list price.
For those who would prefer to add additional nights at Friiberghs Manor the cost is 1.685 SEK per night per person including breakfast and taxes. The extra night has to be paid directly to Friiberghs Manor.
Take advantage of the sponsored education, on May 28 between 09:00 and 16:30 at HP’s office, Gustav III:s boulevard 36, Solna.
The famous VNUG golf tournament will be held 28th May from 13:00. The golf course is only a few minutes from the Manor. Will you be the one holding the Challenge trophy this year? Hope you have the possibility to compete for the trophy!

Thank you all making the 10-year anniversary of VNUG Conference to a success!
Last year we were told we had the best HP NonStop user group conference in the
world. This put some pressure on us and since this was the 10 year anniversary,
we really wanted to make it even better. And now we got the feedback “you
surpassed last year”. This made VNUG Conference to the best in the……..

etc) for making this!
The VNUG Conference was held at Lejondals Castle outside
Stockholm. It started with a pre day including education (Quick Intro NS
Enterprise Plugins for Eclipse) and Golf Tournament at Bro Hof.
The Conference itself included two days filled with
presentations, discussions, exhibitions and other activities. The fabulous
Castle was an excellent place for our Conference and served the most delicious
meals. And the extra touch our entertainer gave made the VNUG dinner to a real
party.

Final letter VNUG Conference 2010 We can add the VNUG Conference 2010 to
the earlier successful events. Thank you all members, partners and sponsors that
made it interesting, informative, inspiring and joyful. The VNUG Conference was held at
Gällöfsta Manor in the northern part of Stockholm, Sweden. After the pre day
including education and Golf Tournament we had two days filled of presentations,
discussions, exhibitions and other activities. The Manor served delicious meals
and showed to be a great place for our Conference You will also find all presentations
under the Event folder. Thank you all again! Next year VNUG Conference celebrates 10
year and we plan for a really extra special Conference. It will be held sometime
in May-June 2011. We will update this info at our website but please do a mark
in your calendar already so you do not miss it. Look forward to meet you then.

The VNUG Conference 2009 held
September 28-30 at Vidbynäs Castle was a successful event for all involved. I
would like to thank all our members, partners and sponsors for making this year
conference an interesting, joyful and excellent event.
With all positive responses from you, I must classify it as a new success. Also,
Vidbynäs Castle showed to meet all our expectations for hosting, service and
excellent food.
